Paul Hopkins is the Director of Acquisitions and Asset Management at CPI Capital, where he leads the sourcing, underwriting, and negotiation of multifamily acquisitions across the Sunbelt states. In addition to his acquisition responsibilities, Paul oversees asset management, ensuring the successful execution of CPI Capital’s wealth creation process through effective financial oversight, operational efficiencies, and value-add strategies.
With 20+ years of experience in construction and over a decade in real estate acquisitions and development, Paul brings a unique perspective to CPI Capital. His background in large-scale construction estimates and project management translates directly to multifamily underwriting and asset management. Paul’s expertise in financial modeling, data analysis, vendor coordination, and scheduling has been instrumental in both analyzing potential investments and executing business plans post-acquisition.
Prior to CPI Capital, Paul consulted for a private equity firm specializing in multifamily and condo developments, handling acquisitions, financial analysis, due diligence, and asset management. His work encompassed ground-up developments and repositioning efforts, ensuring seamless execution from underwriting through project completion.
Earlier in his career, Paul served as an operations manager on multi-billion-dollar infrastructure projects across North America. His roles included leading teams of engineers and contractors, managing complex budgets and schedules, and coordinating with top-tier design consultants and subcontractors. Paul’s hands-on experience in delivering high-stakes projects with precision and efficiency continues to drive his success in managing multifamily assets for CPI Capital.
